Wheel HODDI into position prior to raising to required level (fig 1) with one man standing on the tail tread plate at base of machine the head is easily lifted to the required height by second man. Once hooked over hand rail the head clamp can be positioned and tightened (fig 2). Alternatively the top of the machine can be fixed into the scaffold stand (fig 4) above 4 mtr the machine must be lifted into the main stand at base.

With the machine in position and securely clamped, the delivery shute can now be fitted (fig 3) and the remote stop lead plugged into the machine.

Lock wheel brakes at base and erect adequate barriers to prevent pedestrian access to underside of HODDI.

Plug machine into suitable power supply, ensure all remove stop buttons are latched in. NB: 4 K VA generator required or 110v transformer

Set load centralisers at base, select mode required (fig 4) (I = up / II = down) load as required. (fig 4)

Routine Maintenance

Main Belt Adjustment

In the event of main belt slipping under load the belt must be adjusted to take up the slack.

Remove plug and isolate before making any adjustments. Slacken off the four 19mm adjuster nuts (fig A) on either side of machine head. Next tighten the adjuster bold until desired belt tension is achieved.

(Approx 100mm drop at centre of machine) machine at 45º.

Re-tighten the four adjusters nuts. Run machine and check belt tracking at top. If the belt tracks to one side. Stop machine and isolate, loosen the adjuster nuts on the same side the belt tracks across to, then wind in the adjuster bolt a few turns. Re-check tracking running machine. Re-tighten adjuster nuts.

Replacing the Chain

Lift bonnet of machine, locate split link in chain remove link and worn chain, re-fit new chain.

Safety Notes:

  • In the event of a jam. Stop machine immediately, reverse to clear jam.
  • Keep clear of delivery head when machine is running.
  • Isolate from supply before any maintenance on machine.
  • Hard hats must be worn when operating the Uni-Loada.
  • Erect adequate barriers to prevent pedestrian access to underside.
  • Never exceed maximum total payload (80kg).
